New York 2008
More than 30 staff and students will “venture” to New York City after a long year of fundraising efforts beginning Thursday, October 23, 2008. The students were able to take part in a variety of fundraising opportunities including candle and Butterbraid sales, dinner and lunch theaters and outside contributions from local businesses, in order to participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Students will visit New York’s famed sites including the Empire State Building, Ellis Island, Time Square and Broadway. On tap for these performing arts students is an opportunity to view two Broadway shows, Wicked and Mary Poppins, in addition to learning the behind the scenes secrets by participating in a theater workshop.
Join us as we chronicle the students daily activities online in their journals and pictures.
